The Review: If you’re a fan of real time strategy games then this is an absolute must have!  The lite version of Galcon is a fast paced strategy game of conquest – completely free and utterly amazing.  As far as demos, lite or trial versions go, this has to be one of my favorites.

At the start of the match you have one planet and a map full of neutral planets, and one enemy.  The game is played by capturing planets and producing ships.  The larger the planet the quicker your ships are produced and ready for battle – though larger planets are often more difficult to capture.  A good tactic is to keep an eye on your competitor’s ships and prepare your planets for attack – then counter.  Check out some screens below:

The Pros: Tons!  Great fast gameplay, tactical, innovative and most importantly fun.

The Cons: After a few hours you’re addicted an want the upgrade.

Conclusion: Despite the obvious limitations of the “lite” version – this app is worth downloading if you’ve ever enjoyed real time strategy games.  It’’s difficult to fault this game anywhere, it’s a classic!
