AppMachine News Jerry Lieveld 24 Nov 2014
AppMachine’s CEO Siebrand Dijkstra will be the guest of the Connect IT058 College Tour in Leeuwarden the 10th of december. ConnectIT058 is an event that has to bring the Dutch town Leeuwarden as IT city to the attention of IT talent in the Netherlands.
Siebrand, who was chosen as CEO of the Year by ICT magazine Computable in 2014, will be interviewed by host Asing Walthaus and will be questioned by the talented attendees. They, undoubtedly, all want to know the details of forming a worldwide successful IT company in their region. AppMachine was founded in the Dutch province Friesland (with Leeuwarden as the capital) two years ago and already has 130,000 users in 140 countries and offices in the USA, Brazil and Germany.
Siebrand Dijkstra is the passionate and pleasantly adrenalized CEO of AppMachine. In 2011 he and 18 developers, started AppMachine, the online software platform that enables anyone to build mobile apps for iOS and Android without needing to write a single line of code.
ADHD, dyslexia en color blindness have never stopped Siebrand from starting various ICT companies. He also suffers from a mild form of underestimation, which encourages him to explore the roads less traveled. As a result, Siebrand has been nominated for the Deloitte Rising Star Award and was elected CEO of the Year by professional ICT magazine Computable in 2014.
AppMachine is a good example of what one can achieve when founding a ICT company and that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you start your company. Although CEO Siebrand spends a large part of his time in Silicon Valley and San Francisco, his roots are firmly planted in the Dutch province Fryslân.
In the past, Siebrand Dijkstra has demonstrated what one can achieve when founding a ICT company and that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you start your company. AppMachine is Siebrand´s third successful IT company. He previously started the companies Quality Netware Tools and Schoolmaster, which he sold both.
AppMachine will also be present during the event with a booth on the activities plaza. Just drop by if you want to meet AppMachine. We´ll be glad to show you how anyone can make a professional app. Or maybe you´d like to drop your c.v? We’re always looking for IT talent!
ConnectIT058 takes place on December the 10th in the WTC in Leeuwarden. The event is organized by the Dutch companies Aegon, CJIB, Coolminds, ING, NDC Mediagroep and Zorggroep Noorderbreedte.
