1. Register with AppMachine

2. Choose your client

For which clients are you building these apps? Are you working for an SME company? A department of a large enterprise? Or perhaps a single event or exhibition? There are apps for everyone, from the neighborhood flower shop to large exhibitions, companies and organizations. If your customers are mainly shops and stores, they can sell their products on their mobile app. The app then will be an extra sales channel which can be supported by powerful marketing through push notifications.

Apps for events or large enterprises can be linked with SalesForce and other data like web services and Excel. You can even lock certain parts of the app with a password. By doing so, you can give only the sales department access to client data such as phone numbers, for example. Or you can let only attendees see the program and instruction videos of a workshop. 3. Scan the client’s website

Building a mobile app usually starts with a scan of your client’s Website, simply because most of your clients already have Websites. The AppMachine crawler automatically scans it to see if there are any pictures and social media links you can use. Photos and logos can be easily imported into the app. You can also simply integrate Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, and YouTube Channels. All you have to do is put in the Website’s URL and choose what to import. The app will sync all imported material automatically.

4. Select a skin or start designing

You can design your own app or select one of the many skins we offer. If you choose a template, you’re not completely stuck to its look and feel. 5. Add content to the app

Once you have chosen your skin and menu, the app is ready to fill with content. Just choose your building blocks to do so. You can add as much content as you wish–dynamic satellite navigation to any location, “call me now” function, or even in-app purchases using the Checkout block. Import data by using Excel, XML, and JSON feeds. Building blocks may be used several times and can be designed any way you want. You can always remove building blocks or make a block on “inactive” for later use. See all the blocks you can use.

You don’t have to do all the work yourself. Customers can easily put content into their app with the CMS. AppMachine offers a White Label Client CMS to resellers, which makes sure that clients cannot see any connection with AppMachine.

6. Show the app live

Apps that are being built can be watched live in two ways: in a web browser and on smartphones and tablets. As soon as you change something, it´s visible in the smartphone simulator on our Website. It’s a great way to test your modifications. To see your changes on smartphones and tablets, simply install the free AppMachine Previewer. The previewer also comes in a non-branded white label version for our resellers. Your clients won´t see that you´re using AppMachine to build the app. You can use the previewer to let your client monitor the progress of the app.

7. Sell and publish

With AppMachine, you can make fully functional mobile apps for free for any client you like! Is your customer happy with the product? Great! Now you can bill your client and publish the app in stores. You are free to charge what you want. Please see our pricing page for more information on our prices. To publish an app, go to the publishing wizard on our Website. The wizard will guide you through the process and will do most of the time-consuming work for you. You do have to get your own developer licenses from Apple and Google.

8. Promote the app

When your app is in the app stores, AppMachine will support you in promoting your app. You’ll get a special app promotional Website and a QR-code to make downloading your app as easy as possible. Users of your app can share the app with others.

9. Maintenance and upselling

Your clients will be able to maintain their app partially by themselves with the CMS. They can change information such as opening hours or introduce new employees. They won´t be able to change the design of the app or make new apps themselves. Resellers will be provided with a non-branded White Label Client CMS. When their clients use this CMS, they will not see any connection to AppMachine.

10. Use the app for marketing

Your clients will get access to the analytics dashboard. This gives them insight into the use of the app. For example, they can see how many times the app has been downloaded, from which location and with which smartphone. The analytics also provide information about the most-used parts of the app. No matter how small your app is, this big data will give you and your clients a profound insight into your app users.

A mobile app should be part of your client´s marketing strategy. Users can be targeted by sending them push notifications, whether it’s to all users or to a selected group.
