Mobile app platform AppMachine has signed a definitive agreement to join forces with Endurance International Group, a leading provider of cloud-based platform solutions. Endurance acquired 40% of AppMachine for $15.2 million USD.
The capital infusion will support AppMachine’s international growth ambitions and continue to support Endurance’s innovative development of mobile app products for SMBs around the world.
“We’re excited to have the support of such a well-established and respected player in the digital products space,” says AppMachine CEO Siebrand Dijkstra. “Too often, we have seen that the best technology was beaten by the best marketing. Now the best technology joins forces with the best marketing. We are especially pleased with this partnership because Endurance believes, as we do, that there is a large and growing opportunity in mobile solutions for SMBs. AppMachine’s software now will become available for the more than 3,8 million subscribers of Endurance. That is a huge opportunity to distribute our product to a wide and growing base.”
AppMachine’s best-in-class product and position as a creative and innovative mobile developer, positioned the company well for the investment by Endurance. Under the terms of the agreement, Endurance will acquire 40 percent of AppMachine with the potential to increase additional ownership over time.
For the last 14 months AppMachine has been working on a HTML5 web app solution that enables people to build web apps that are instantly available in the browser without the need to be published in the app stores.
