AppMachine targets pro developers with the latest version of its app toolkit

October 22, 2013

The Dutch startup AppMachine, which provides tools that help lesser-technically skilled users build native Android and iOS apps, has launched a more fully-featured version of its software in a bid to attract professional developers.

Announced today, the new build of the toolkit allows devs to do things like integrate external data and programme application modules to their own specifications, which hadn’t previously been possible.

While there are a lot of app development services out there, most use HTML5 as the basis and charge a recurring monthly fee. In contrast, AppMachine uses a fully native approach and charges a one-off fee; a strategy that has seen the fourth month old startup attract nearly 50,000 users since its launch.
